BBC News and BBC World have made a palpable hit out of 100 Days and 100 Days +. The programme, hosted mostly by Katty Kay in Washington and Christian Fraser in London, goes out for 30 minutes on BBC4 at 7pm, and a little longer on the channels. The presenters met in the flesh for the first time in London for the last show, and seemed to enjoy a transmission without having to aim off for satellite sound delays. But the pair are coming back in September, with the same transatlantic format, and a new name.
The programme will be notable on the BBC News channel for having two presenters - the rest of the daytime shows have now officially scaled back to single-handed hosting, to save money. Next week, we'll know which, if any of these presenters, are paid more than £150k. I'll take a little bet Katty and Christian are on a good deal more than £150k together ?
